"We want to strengthen this social dialogue to ensure Special Data that any reform is balanced, does not endanger the creation of jobs and (lasts) for years," declared the vice president.
The economic newspaper maintains that Calviño addresses in the interview "investors' concerns about the new left-wing coalition" in the Government of Spain.
"I don't see any reason why investors should be scared when they know what we have been doing in the last twenty months," highlighted the minister, who emphasizes that the Executive is focused on developing "sustainable and inclusive" growth and on complying with Community budgetary rules.
The Spanish vice president noted that the Government is "committed to reducing the deficit over the course of the mandate as quickly as possible."
He warned at the same time that it is not possible to "achieve long-term economic and financial stability without social stability."
When analyzing the changes in labor legislation that the Government is evaluating, he highlighted that there is broad support for repealing the article of the Workers' Statute that allows dismissal due to medical leave in certain cases.
At the end of January, the Spanish Executive and social agents signed an agreement to raise the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI).
After this pact, a new negotiation has been opened on modifications to the labor reform that was carried out in 2012.
