Good news: The Browns .Bad news: It's , the castoff who couldn't beat out for the starting gig in Washington. If it's any consolation, Richard Seymour Jersey embittered fans, the guy who benched RG3 more than once thinks the former second-overall pick is a good fit in Cleveland with first-year coach Hue Jackson."I haven't talked to Hue at all about Robert but I think a change of scenery could be good for Robert," Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Wednesday, the day before RG3 signed with the Browns, according to . "Like anybody, sometimes you just want to get out of a situation and start new and fresh and learn something new and it would be a good fit because a lot of things that Hue does I believe are similar."Jackson Christian Barmore Jersey and Gruden were a sistants together on the Bengals' staff, and Jackson, a former offensive coordinator, is known to get the most out of his quarterbacks. "I don't think it will be a drastic change for him from a quarterback position," Gruden continued. "I think he's got a little bit of a grasp on what Hue does. I think there will be a little bit of change but it will be a good fit for him."But ... there's a but." Griffin can do the zone read, he can run the bootleg and all that stuff that makes him effective outside the pocket, but I think eventually he's going to have to continue to master the dropback pa sing game in the NFL, which he needs to continue to do and he will do," Gruden said. The guy that preceded Griffin in Cleveland, , struggled with playing in the pocket, though he did show glimpses of promise. (Unfortunately, those glimpses were overshadowed by Manziel's never-ending Ty Montgomery Jersey off-field i sues. If you're looking for a silver lining, RG3 has never been in trouble and handled his demotion well, at least publicly.)And while the Redskins are quite happy with Cousins -- they franchised him earlier this offseason -- Gruden thinks Griffin, the Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2012, can again be a viable starter in the league."Yeah. Of course," he said. "He's very talented obviously. We all know that. We saw what he did as a rookie. And now he'll just continue to gain knowledge of systems and (they can) keep him healthy and on the field, I think he's got a chance. ... "He's just got to go in there and compete, and that's going to be up to whatever coach signs him," Gruden continued. "They're going to have their own Matthew Judon Jersey skill set that they want him to focus on. They're going to have their conceptual play that they're going to want him to focus on and footwork and all that stuff. He's got to go into it with an open mind and be willing to get coached like he always has been and go out there and compete."Not surprisingly, Griffin is happy for another opportunity.Robert Griffin III on joining the : (@Browns) It's reasonable to think that he'll be the Browns' starter heading into 2016. But there's also the very real chance that Cleveland drafts a quarterback with the No. Damien Harris Jersey 2 pick for no other reason than Griffin has either been mediocre or on the bench the last two NFL seasons. In case you're wondering, have the Browns selecting either or with the second-overall pick.
